• Welcome to my show Helena, it is so nice to have you. Well, we came across about three months ago and it was funny because I came back from my Hamburg tour and found such a nice mail of you in my box. In this case you found me. I really like Hamburg a lot – it’s like Rotterdam en Belin in one: the port and such relaxed and nice people around. So, you are living in Hamburg at the moment, but were you born there as well?

I was born in Hamburg. I tried to live in another city, but after one year I needed to come back to the harbour city. I guess I love it… even though it’s changing a lot.

• I have been investigating a little bit but I cannot find much about you. Well about your music projects but not much fotos, no Facebook account etc. Do you want to be more mysterious?

It’s not about being mysterious, it’s more about being private. You can find me about my music, that’s all what matters. If somebody really wants to contact me, it’s not that hard to find my mail. Maybe it’s helpful (as a musician) to be connected via facebook, but I just don’t like the social control and pressure it involves.

• Of course, every time I am in Hamburg I have to go to the Golden Pudel – your homebase. You are running a party serie called Birds And Other Instruments there, am I right?. Since when and why at the Golden Pudel?

I started the serie about one year ago. Unfortunately, there is no other place in Hamburg where you have the freedom to do whatever you like and to invite weird or unknown artists. Plus I like all the people working there. And I had my best partys at Pudel, they’re so pure.

• Helena, tell a little bit about your musical career? You are a DJane, are you a composer/producer as well? Are you a full-time musician or are you employed next to your musical career? Where can people see you playing the upcoming weeks/months?

I just started producing music. I got a 303, a mpc and i try to save some money for some other gear. It’s big fun to fuck around with some machines and I simply don’t understand computers. That’s pretty much all I do at the moment, hanging out at home and playing out. For upcoming gigs you can always check my page…

• The mix you sent me enlarges my cast a lot. Thanks for that. So, what can people expect listening to your mix at my show?

Some darkness I guess. Just listen.
